A view of the outside of a house through a glass window at sunset. The house has black walls and a wooden ceiling, with a decorative hanging light fixture inside. Outside, there is a pathway, garden with green shrubs, trees, and rocks, illuminated by warm sunlight.

The Wolford House

Maricopa Studio was invited to photograph Poetics of Space, a group exhibition held at the historic Wolford House, a mid-century Usonian-style residence nestled in the hills of Mount Washington, Los Angeles. Designed by architect James De Long, a former apprentice of Frank Lloyd Wright, the home provided a striking architectural backdrop for the show. The photographs explore the interplay between artwork, space, and natural light, capturing the quiet intimacy and spatial rhythm that defined the exhibition.
